Avelacom recently announced that it completed two new low-latency routes. The move comes as part of its goal to expand connectivity in digital asset markets, and this time, it facilitated the interconnection between Hong Kong, Singapore, and Seoul.

Avelacom Interconnects Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, and Seoul

Avelacom is a low-latency solutions provider that just expanded options for crypto trading to and from the South Korean capital of Soul with Singapore. Before this, the company did the same by launching a Seoul/Tokyo route.

Commenting on the move, the firm’s CEO, Aleksey Larichev, commented that Seoul has always been a key trading hub. But, at the same time, it served as a central point for connectivity.

Recently, the company saw a major rise in cloud adoption, especially when it comes to the Korean market, where there was a major surge in the number of participants, including both trading firms an exchanges, with the participants primarily focusing on digital assets.

“This is driving an increase in demand for cloud-to-cloud, low-latency connections. Our new routes ensure we are able to support the needs of the global crypto trading community, looking for geographically diverse trading opportunities, with Seoul being one of their top priorities,” Larichev explained.

Avelacom’s Point-of-Presence (PoP) is located in Seoul, specifically at the KINX Gasan data center. This location was chosen as it is in a perfect position to provide direct access to the AWS Northeast region. As a direct consequence, it can also be there to enable access to the country’s largest cloud-based crypto exchanges.

Why is Avelacom’s Network Crucial For The Digital Asset Sector?

Recently, Avelacom also launched a proprietary low-latency Seoul-Tokyo route, as mentioned earlier. This route was created to enable a full interconnection of four major points in Asian markets, including Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Seoul itself.

Furthermore, these are linked to more than 100 global Avelacom PoPs, which allows this network to provide direct access to all major crypto exchanges that serve markets globally. Not only that, but such a high level of connectivity also supports time-critical trading strategies.

Strategies like arbitrage, where it is crucial to have instant access to a variety of exchanges, as well as market-making trading algorithms and capturing real-time market data feeds, all depend on this network and the ability to share data between different markets instantly.

Avelacom also said that the new routes are ready for service, and they can guarantee latencies up to microseconds, with the network uptime being 99.9%.
