When Premier League winners Manchester City face Tottenham Hotspur in late November, both teams will wear shirts with crypto companies’ logos on the sleeves.

Tottenham Hotspur has revealed a global brand partnership with Kraken, starting before the 2024/25 season. Kraken will become the Club’s inaugural Official Crypto and Web3 Partner. Furthermore, it will act as the Official Sleeve Partner for both the Women’s and Men’s teams.

Kraken Wants To Increase Visibility And Presence In Popular Soccer Leagues

Alongside its partnership with Tottenham Hotspur, Kraken will expand its involvement in Formula 1 as the Official Partner for Crypto and Web3 with F1 DRIVE – London. Together, Kraken and Tottenham Hotspur will collaborate on interactive contests to engage fans interested in both finance and sports.

Ryan Norys, Chief Revenue Officer at Tottenham Hotspur, said that as a club that aims to bring new ideas to everything we do, they are happy to partner with Kraken. Kraken is a brand known for being the leading in its field and is well-known in the web3 industry for focusing on teaching about cryptocurrencies. Tottenham Hotspur is excited to offer its fans many fun events and experiences during the partnership.

Additionally, Kraken is reportedly in discussions to secure $100 million in funding by year-end in preparation for a potential initial public offering (IPO). Sponsoring Tottenham Hotspur and Atlético Madrid could enhance its plans, thanks to the increased visibility in two of the world’s most popular soccer leagues.

The Partnerships Aim To Advance Cryptocurrency Technology

The partnership will help football fans understand cryptocurrency better. Kraken and Tottenham Hotspur will use new technologies to improve the fan experience. Kraken will connect with fans worldwide by offering special content, holding fan events, and giving behind-the-scenes access to the activities of both groups.

Bivu Das, Kraken’s Managing Director for the UK, remarked on the announcement. He stated that collaborating with Tottenham will advance this technology further and address the information barriers preventing some football fans from engaging in the crypto ecosystem.

He also stated that as a crypto exchange committed to its goals, it is strongly dedicated to encouraging more people to use crypto, helping them achieve financial independence through digital assets.

Meanwhile, Kraken has teamed up with Atlético de Madrid, becoming their special partner for crypto and Web3. Starting in 2024, Kraken will also be on the sleeves of all the men’s and women’s football shirts for Atlético de Madrid.
