Algerian star looking for ONE Championship gold in explosive start to 2024

The Algerian is 3-2 in ONE, but comes on the back of an impressive first round TKO of Edgar Tabares last time out. Well-versed in both kickboxing and Muay Thai he holds an overall professional record of 33-7, with a couple of world titles to his name including being a previous. WBC Muay Thai International Super Featherweight Champion.

Training since the age of five, Mahmoudi has been a permanent fixture at his family gym, and has seemed destined for greatness from an early age. Thailand has been a big part of his martial arts education, but the Mahmoudi Gym is still where he calls home.

His opponent, champion Superlek, needs little introduction. He holds a phenomenal 12-1 record in ONE, with a status-defining win against flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang in his last appearance. 

Superlek joined ONE Championship in 2019 and engaged in many memorable battles, defeating the likes of Taiki Naito, Walter Goncalves, and even his old rival, Panpayak Jitmuangnon, twice
