Primary Portal, a website that brings together and converts equity market activities into digital format, has successfully wrapped up the first phase of its £7.5m Series A funding.

The funding round was led by DB1 Ventures, the investment branch of Deutsche Börse Group. It also received extra support from current investors, Flow Traders, and the Dutch Founders Fund (DFF).

This significant infusion of funds shows the rising confidence in Primary Portal’s aim to make the traditionally slow and error-filled equity capital markets better. By promoting better cooperation between different capital market systems, the Primary Portal is setting new standards for how efficiently and effectively things can work together.

Primary Portal Aims To Enhance Capital Market Connections

Primary Portal wants to spend the new funds to expand its services. This includes bettering the connection between asset managers’ order systems and banks. It will allow for seamless processing of capital market deals for the first time. Moreover, Primary Portal will improve its data analysis services, providing advanced, AI-based analytics tools to its customers.

Along with these tech improvements, the funding will strengthen the company’s position in the market and speed up its growth in the online world. Primary Portal already has a strong group of users, with more than 90 banks and 400 large investors using its advanced platform to simplify equity issuances.

The Chief Executive Officer of Primary Portal, John Bentinck, shows his passionate excitement about the new partnership with Deutsche Bõrse. He said the members of the firm are happy to welcome Deutsche as Part of the stakeholders.

He further stated that he is glad to be working together with the firm to improve digitization and connectivity for the capital market. The platform’s assets and funding are a strong evidence of the firm’s combined approach towards providing digital solutions to market participators.

Deutsche Börse Backs Primary Portal’s Innovation In Capital Markets

The Head of Capital Markets and Corporations at Deutsche Börse, Stefan Maassen, emphasized that the two firms strategically align. He said the members of Deutsche Börse believe in innovative solutions to shape capital markets, stating how greatly committed the firm is to equipping the ecosystem.

By converting communication and work processes into digital format, the Primary Portal sets up a smoother way for asset managers and banks to work together during equity issuances.

This improves how companies can get funds. He added that the collaboration highlights Deutsche Börse’s trust in Primary Portal, its diligent team, and the European equity market.

More funding is expected because Primary Portal believes additional investors will come in during a second round of investment later this year.
