PayPal Holdings, Inc. recently announced that it is expanding its global partnership with Adyen, a top financial technology company. As part of this partnership, Adyen will use PayPal’s Fastlane to speed up guest checkouts for its large business and marketplace customers in the U.S., with plans to roll it out worldwide later.

The companies believe that PayPal’s Fastlane will make shopping easier for customers and help businesses using Adyen’s platform increase sales.

PayPal And Adyen Aim To Provide A Seamless Checkout Experience

Fastlane by PayPal is a new guest checkout feature that helps over 80% of shoppers complete their purchases and cuts checkout time by 32% compared to regular guest checkouts. When shoppers use Fastlane for the first time with a participating merchant, they can easily save their card and shipping details. These details will then be automatically filled in for future purchases wherever Fastlane by PayPal is available.

President and Chief Executive Officer of PayPal, Alex Chriss, said Adyen’s connections with major companies make it the perfect first partner for PayPal’s Fastlane payment system. This partnership supports the team goal to have PayPal accessible wherever people shop worldwide.

Moreover, PayPal has become the go-to platform for the biggest brands, tech firms, and payment processors, providing smooth and connected shopping experiences to millions of users and businesses.

The Partnership Seeks To Enhance The Payment Experience For Consumers

Pieter van der Does, co-founder and co-chief Executive Officer of Adyen talked about the importance of the partnership. He noted that the expanded partnership with PayPal enhances Adyen’s capability to offer global businesses smooth payment processes and excellent shopping experiences.

He said PayPal is a trusted payment name for shoppers, and his team is thrilled to advance their collaboration in the US, using PayPal’s combined skills to improve services for their customers.

PayPal and Adyen have worked together for several years to help Adyen’s clients offer PayPal’s top payment options worldwide, such as Venmo, PayPal, and PayPal’s Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services. Along with expanding the reach of Fastlane by PayPal, Adyen, and PayPal will keep looking for ways to improve customer experiences and benefit enterprise businesses.

For over 25 years, PayPal has been transforming commerce worldwide. The firm designs new ways to make transferring money, selling, and shopping easy, personalized, and safe. PayPal helps people and businesses in about 200 markets connect with and succeed in the global economy.

Adyen is a Dutch payment firm and acquiring bank that enables businesses to accept payments online, through mobile, and at physical locations. It is publicly traded on the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange.
