Ricardo Ghiglino Named Head of Tech Delivery at IG Group

IG Group has named Ricardo Ghiglino as the Head of Europe and Emerging Market Tech Delivery. Ghiglino shared the news in a LinkedIn post. Before this new position, he was the Head of ETP Delivery for over a year.

Ricardo Ghiglino’s LinkedIn profile shows that he is a skilled technology professional with experience at well-known companies. He worked as the Senior Technical Programme Manager and General Manager at Wit Engineering and Technology Ltd. He also held roles as a Developer at IT Deusto, a Programmer Analyst at Deloitte, and a System Analyst at NS Solutions.

William Mead As Head Of Operations Will Oversee And Improve Operational Efficiency

Ghiglino’s promotion at IG Group is part of a series of recent executive changes at the company. William Mead was recently named Head of Operations where has held various positions at IG Group, including Head of Trading Operations. Before that, he was the Global Head of Credit and Client Money in London.

In addition, Chris Old began his new position as Head of Organic Growth at IG Group. Based in London, Old has been with the firm for over six years, starting as the Search Engine Optimization Manager for the UK in 2021. He advanced to become the Search Engine Optimization Manager for EMEA and then the Search Engine Optimization Lead for IG.com.

In April, Tomas Ausra, who had been IG Group’s Global Institutional Marketing Manager for nearly five years, moved to the Head of Marketing position at IG Prime, the institutional division of the company. Ausra will now oversee IG Prime’s global brand marketing efforts.

IG Group Aims To Maintain Its Leadership In The Trading Industry

IG Group also brought on Mark Evans as the Head of Corporate Development. Evans had worked at the London-based CFD and forex trading firm as the Head of Consumer Insights and Strategy for over six years.  Evans also held the position of Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at the Group before his new appointment.

IG Group Holdings plc, known as IG Group, is a UK-based online trading service. It offers CFD trading and spread betting, which lets traders bet on the movements of currencies, bonds, and equities without having to own the actual assets.

Founded in 1974 by Stuart Wheeler, the firm is located in London and has 1,950 workers. By 2021, it was worth £2.9 billion and allowed trading in 17,000 markets. IG is controlled by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK.
