Sonic, the first atomic Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) chain supporting the Solana network independent game economies, reached an important milestone with its testnet, Odyssey.

This testnet has now connected 100,000 wallets and processed over 17 million transactions. This progress sets the stage for its upcoming mainnet launch.

Sonic Will Offer Scalable Solutions For Developers To Deploy Customized SVM Chains

Harsh Agarwal, the Investment Head at Cypher Capital, noted that he is confident in Sonic’s ability to create gaming economies on Solana. Agarwal is happy to back Sonic in creating the first SVM Layer 2 Gaming Chain. He acknowledged Chris Zhu’s vision and expertise in promoting the growth of both companies.

With these changes, Sonic is set to become a major player in blockchain gaming. Big investors and people in the crypto market are now watching Sonic closely because of its strong testnet results. Sonic is also about to release its mainnet, showing that blockchain gaming on Solana is growing steadily.

The Sonic open testnet lets users try out Sonic by making transactions and doing swaps to see its great performance firsthand. This tutorial will teach users everything they need to know to get the best out of the open testnet.

Sonic is the first atomic SVM Layer 2 designed to support independent game economies on Solana. It runs on HyperGrid, a key technology created by Mirror World. This tech allows developers to set up custom Sonic Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) chains, giving them huge scaling benefits.

The ‘Odyssey’ Testnet Campaign Aims To Incentivize User Participation

With assistance from Cypher Capital, a $308 million crypto investment firm, Sonic generates funds to better its ecosystem before launching the mainnet. The new funds will support the ‘Odyssey’ testnet campaign, aiming to bring in participation, and support Sonic’s core teams. The funding will be used to grow the main team, make game projects, and form marketing teams all over the world.

Currently, Sonic operates a live test network that encourages users to participate in various on-chain activities. These activities involve transactions and games that will soon be available on Sonic.

Chris Zhu, who started Sonic, noted that Cypher Capital’s connection in the community and access to the right funding is important in linking gaming with the Solana network. He thanked Cypher Capital for helping Sonic grow.

Cypher Capital helps Sonic, which is the only gaming chain using Solana Virtual Machine. Sonic uses HyperGrid, a horizontal scaling solution pinned to Solana, for its infrastructure. This allows any game to set up its own blockchain and be customized freely, enabling the creation of new independent game economies.
